Texas Workforce Commission Meetings

TWC's three Commissioners hear administrative reports, discuss and act on agency business, and decide unemployment insurance cases. The public is invited to comment before the Commission on any issue within the jurisdiction of the Commission.

The Commission meeting can be viewed via live stream on Granicus. No login information will be needed for Granicus.  You will just click on the link and push the play arrow on the video image.

Texas Conference for Employers

Texas Conference for Employers

The Office of the Commissioner Representing Employers sponsors the Texas Conference for Employers, a series of employer seminars around the state. Employers are encouraged to attend at least one of the seminars in order to learn nuts and bolts information on state and federal employment laws and how to deal with the unemployment claim and appeal process.

Virtual Town Hall Meetings for Vocational Rehabilitation Customers, Caregivers, and Service Providers

The Rehabilitation Council of Texas (RCT) and Texas Workforce Solutions-Vocational Rehabilitation Services will host a Virtual Town Hall Series on May 7 and 19, 2020. We want to hear from you about your experiences and how our services may better fit your rehabilitation and employment needs. Your input from the Town Hall Meetings will help shape the future of vocational rehabilitation services provided by the State of Texas.

RCT Town Hall Questions

Individuals may review the Vocational Rehabilitation Town Hall questions prior to a scheduled event or submit responses without attending a Virtual Town Hall Meeting. You may access the RCT Town Hall questions survey (RCT Town Hall questions survey in Spanish) in a survey format which will be presented at each Town Hall event. The responses you submit through this survey will be included with those we receive at the Virtual Town Hall Meetings.

You may also download a print version of the RCT Town Hall questionsPDF. If you do attend the virtual meeting and have additional responses after the meeting ends, please call 1-512-936-4321 or email VR.CSNA@twc.state.tx.us. Please keep in mind that these options are for Town Hall questions only and not for personal questions or individual cases. Town Hall Meeting conversations will have three goals: (1) to describe VR services across Texas; (2) to discuss employment-related needs; and (3) to learn how to improve VR services.

Purchasing from People with Disabilities Advisory Committee

The 13-member Purchasing from People with Disabilities Advisory Committee provides recommendations to the Texas Workforce Commission on matters related to the Texas Purchasing from People with Disabilities program, which assists individuals with disabilities in achieving independence through productive employment opportunities.

ApprenticeshipTexas Conference

The Texas Workforce Commission will host its fourth annual ApprenticeshipTexas Conference on September 17-18, 2020. The conference provides insights into developing apprenticeship training programs from leading intermdediaries including industry associations and employers, labor partnerships, community colleges, high schools, and workforce boards. Inviting employers, educators, and workforce stakeholders.
