AUSTIN ⎯ The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) has awarded Cargill & Eagle Systems in partnership with Texas State Technical College (TSTC) a $115,132 Skills Development Fund grant. The grant will benefit workers in the Workforce Solutions Heart of Texas area.
This grant will be used to provide custom training to 58 new and incumbent workers for industry-related topics with focused on skills for the manufacturing industry. Trainings include advanced PLC, electronic troubleshooting & motor controls, hydraulics and pneumatics, and industrial electronics for mechanics.
“The partnership between Cargill & Eagle Systems and Texas State Technical College on this Skills Development Fund grant will provide tremendous benefits,” said TWC Chairman and Commissioner Representing the Public Bryan Daniel. “This partnership will not only bring new jobs to the Waco area but ensure students have the skills necessary to support themselves and contribute to their communities.”
