AUSTIN ⎯ The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is pleased to welcome its new Commissioner Representing the Public, Bryan Daniel of Georgetown, Texas. Commissioner Daniel joins the three-member Commission and will serve as the representative for the public promoting and supporting the growth of Texas’ world-class employers and talented workforce that will continue to lead the Texas economy toward a promising future.
“I am humbled and honored by the opportunity to serve the people of our great state,” said TWC Commissioner Representing the Public Bryan Daniel. “I look forward to joining Chair Ruth R. Hughs and Commissioner Julian Alvarez in their continuing efforts to improve the lives for every working Texan. Our innovative workforce development strategies are one of the reasons Texas has the lowest unemployment rate on record. ”
Commissioner Daniel serves along with fellow Commissioners Ruth R. Hughs, TWC Chair and Commissioner Representing Employers and Julian Alvarez, TWC Commissioner Representing Labor. Together, the commissioners promote and support a workforce system that creates value and offers employers, individuals, and communities the opportunity to achieve and sustain economic prosperity.

I look forward to serving alongside him in our continued goals for further economic prosperity for Texas."
Prior to his appointment, Commissioner Daniel served as the Executive Director of the Office of the Governor Economic Development Division. He previously served as Vice President for Business Development at Agricultural Workers Mutual Auto Insurance Company and as the Texas State Director of Rural Development in President George W. Bush's administration.
In addition to his work for the Governor’s Office and Agricultural industry, Daniel provides leadership to the Commission for Women, Office of Aerospace, Aviation, and Defense, Texas Military Preparedness Commission, Texas Small Business Advocacy, Texas Workforce Investment Council, Texas Music Office, and the Texas Film Commission.
“Commissioner Daniel joins TWC with the right combination of skills and experience to benefit the public of our great state,” said TWC Commissioner Representing Labor Julian Alvarez. “The Texas economy and workforce is strong and this appointment reinforces our determination to keep Texas a top destination for employees and businesses.”
Daniel is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in agricultural communications and a Master of Science in agricultural education.
