Digital Opportunity Plan: Survey and Mapping Tool
The Texas Broadband Development Office (BDO) plans to use federal funds to expand digital opportunities for Texans. BDO designed a survey and a tool to address barriers that stop Texans from accessing the internet and other digital services. Barriers may include a lack of equipment or digital skills needed to navigate tech.
The BDO asks that the public take the Digital Opportunity Public Survey to help them understand barriers faced by Texans. The responses will also direct the BDO on how to best use funds.
The Digital Resources Mapping Tool is a survey that will record existing digital resources. This will help the BDO develop funding strategies for impactful programs.
Support the BDO by sharing the survey and tool with your community. Please see the Texas Digital Opportunity Survey Toolkit to support this outreach. The toolkit includes a poster that can be displayed in your WFS Offices.
