AUSTIN ⎯ The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) advises that no action is needed by those claimants who may have recently exhausted, or will soon exhaust, their Unemployment Insurance (UI). TWC will determine if you qualify for additional benefits under any of the pandemic unemployment programs and notify you by mail or electronic correspondence. We encourage you to make sure your address and email are up to date with TWC so that we can reach you.
In order to be eligible for up to thirteen weeks of extended benefits, also known as Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC), applicants must meet the following:
If you meet the above criteria, TWC will notify you by mail or electronic correspondence.
Please do not attempt to apply for benefits again. This could produce a system error. This will not affect your ability to get PEUC, but it could delay processing.
The last payable week for PEUC is December 26, 2020.
