The Child Care & Early Learning Division hosts conference style events for Texas Rising Star-certified early learning programs in an effort to assist early childhood educators in obtaining professional development to meet annual requirements.

Texas Rising Star Early Educator Conference

TWC hosts the annual Texas Rising Star Early Educator Conference. This in-person, two-day conference will provide FREE professional development to Texas Rising Star–certified early learning programs with a variety of topics specific to early childhood educators or administrators. 

The 2023 Texas Rising Star Early Educator Conference will be held in July 6 – 8, 2023, at the Sheraton Hotel Dallas. Registration invitations will be emailed to eligible early learning programs Spring of 2023. All registrants must have a valid TECPDS Workforce Registry ID number. A FREE TEPCDS Workforce Registry account can be created here: https://public.tecpds.org/texas-workforce-registry/welcome-first-steps/

Information regarding a virtual option to attend some sessions will be made available in June 2023.

Virtual Texas Early Learning Symposium

The Virtual Symposium is hosted by TWC and provides FREE virtual professional development to Texas Rising Star–certified early learning programs via live and recorded sessions. Sessions cover a variety of topics specific to early childhood educators or administrators. The Virtual Symposium occurred July 6–22, 2021. At this time, TWC does not plan on hosting a Virtual Symposium for 2023.
