QuickFile Download Instructions

The current QuickFile version is 5.5.9.

If you have an older version of QuickFile, you will need to uninstall it and delete any temporary files before downloading the most recent version. To uninstall older versions of QuickFile, from the Windows Start button, open the Control Panel and select either ‘Add/Remove Programs’ or ‘Programs and Features’, depending on your version of Windows. Select any version of "QuickFile" showing (usually QuickFile5) and uninstall.

Next, the QuickFile5 Setup Wizard will guide you through the process to download and install QuickFile. The time it takes to download and install QuickFile will vary depending upon the speed of the Internet connection and the computer's processor speed.

If you have a high-speed connection:

• Run this program from its current location. The QuickFile installation will automatically start and install the program in the directory of your choice. The default directory is: "C:\QuickFile\". Download and install time is generally under a minute.

If you do not have a high-speed connection:

• Download QuickFile to the desktop of your PC and follow the instructions in the Installing QuickFile section of the QuickFile User's Guide to start the program.
