Unemployment Benefits ID Theft

Unemployment Benefits ID Theft

Help TWC fight unemployment benefits identity (ID) theft.

Businesses or individuals who have information that an unemployment claim was filed using a stolen ID should report the ID theft claim on TWC’s online portal.

Report ID Theft

Reportar robo de identidad

We recommend using the secure online portal to report any suspected ID theft claim. However, if you cannot use the online portal, send an email to TWC.fraud@twc.state.tx.us or leave a message on the TWC Fraud Hotline at 800-252-3642. Individuals who report suspected ID theft to TWC do not always receive a call, email, or letter in response to the information provided. TWC will only contact you if we need clarification.

See our Unemployment Benefits ID Theft webpage for more information about how businesses and individuals can protect themselves.
