The Rehabilitation Council of Texas (Council) is federally mandated by the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended in 1992, and advises the Texas Workforce Commission on the policy, scope and effectiveness of vocational rehabilitation services.
Three full-time commissioners are appointed to the Texas Workforce Commission by the Governor, one each representing employers, labor, and the public. Together, they oversee the functioning of TWC and develop agency policy.
